About Us

I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska in 1979. I was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1980 and have been practicing in Kansas City, Missouri ever since. My practice focuses on family law, but I also handle personal injury, civil litigation, landlord/tenant, traffic, and real estate cases.

I take a business-like approach to every case - because that is ultimately how a judge will evaluate it. Communication is important from the first time I meet with a client, as well as with opposing parties, attorneys, and judges. Good communication usually results in the case getting settled before it gets too expensive — not just in terms of attorney fees and expenses, but also the emotional toll.

I understand the difficulty of weighing the issues and deciding the best way to handle a case, so I lend my experience to each client because ultimately the decision is up to you. When a case needs to go to trial, I am ready. I have tried over 15 jury cases and many more before a judge.
